The price of several digital currencies, such as Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), and Cardano (ADA), has risen rapidly. After weeks of sustained consolidation, these altcoins have recorded their highest price levels in the past month, setting them on many traders’ watchlists. Amid the general bullish breakout, here is a breakdown of what to expect from the price of these digital currencies moving forward.
Dogecoin and Potential Reversal Prospect
At the peak of trading, the price of DOGE soared as high as $0.1850 per CoinMarketCap data. However, the coin has seen its price fall to $0.1797 while maintaining a 4.07% uptick in 24 hours. The broader crypto market jumped today, with memecoins largely leading the rally.

For Dogecoin, the core performance metrics stayed bullish, with a trading volume of 64.24% to $2.1 billion. Over the past month, the DOGE price maintained a strong consolidation; the trading volume hardly exceeded the $1 billion mark. Despite the intensely positive retail and whale engagement, the memecoin is still locked below the $0.1800 resistance level.
The uptick in the price of Dogecoin did not come from core DOGE fundamentals. Unless this trend changes and core ecosystem updates emerge, the bullish breakout of the memecoin might be short-lived.
Shiba Inu Changing the Memecoin Outlook
Shiba Inu joined the rally, soaring as high as $0.00001388 within the 24 hours. Although the percentage gain is now relaxed, the coin has maintained its support above the $0.000013 mark. Over the past week, the coin jumped 13.62% as it looks to pare off the losses it incurred in the Year-to-Date (YTD).

Considering the market outlook, SHIB price analysis hints at a potential 512% breakout in the coming weeks. While there are conflicting whale and futures outlooks on different timeframes, the Shiba Inu ecosystem has a more promising anchor for the price.
Unlike other memecoins like Dogecoin, with Shibarium and the SHIB OS innovation, developers like Shytoshi Kusama are pushing for new use cases for the project. While there are collaborations with governments to back its evolution, time may be the major decider of how high Shiba Inu can sustain its cycle momentum.
Cardano May Take Advantage of Bitcoin Influence
Bitcoin is the clear market leader, but Cardano may see more benefits from its association in the long term. The Charles Hoskinson-led project is making an important pivot to drive Bitcoin adoption with DeFi-based staking as teased previously.
Cardano has achieved more than most Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain networks in the past year. The protocol transitioned to community governance and has outperformed core rivals in percentage growth over the past year.
Cardano’s price changed hands for $0.6983 at the time of writing, up by 5.92% in the past 24 hours.

With $0.7 a local market resistance, ADA has the fundamentals to break out long-term. Per an earlier ADA price analysis, the coin could soar to $0.7658 in the short term.
Japanese Corporation Metaplanet has announced the appointment of Eric Trump, son of US President Donald Trump, as the inaugural member of its newly established Strategic Board of Advisors.
The announcement made on March 21 highlights Metaplanet’s strategic intent to strengthen its influence within the global Bitcoin economy.
Eric Trump Joins Metaplanet to Strengthen Bitcoin Strategy
According to the official statement, Eric Trump’s appointment aims to leverage his vast experience in real estate, finance, brand development, and strategic business growth. Beyond his business credentials, Eric Trump has positioned himself as a key advocate for digital assets and blockchain innovation.
“His business acumen, love of the Bitcoin community and global hospitality perspective will be invaluable in accelerating Metaplanet’s vision of becoming one of the world’s leading Bitcoin Treasury Companies,” said Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich.
Alongside Eric Trump, Metaplanet’s Strategic Board of Advisors will include other renowned industry leaders and financial experts. These individuals will remain committed to advancing the company’s Bitcoin mission and fostering financial innovation in the digital asset sector.
The appointment comes as Metaplanet intensifies its Bitcoin investment strategy. On March 18, the company announced the issuance of 2 billion yen ($13.4 million) in zero-coupon ordinary bonds. The proceeds will be dedicated to acquiring more Bitcoin.
This aligns with Metaplanet’s ambitious roadmap. The company aims to amass 10,000 Bitcoins by the end of this year and 21,000 BTC by the close of 2026.
According to the latest data from Bitcoin Treasuries, Metaplanet currently holds 3,200 BTC, acquired at an average cost of $83,107 per coin. While this has resulted in a modest 1.8% profit, the firm remains vulnerable to Bitcoin price fluctuations.
The company faced potential losses multiple times in March 2025, when Bitcoin’s price fell below its acquisition cost. In fact, last week, Bitcoin dipped as low as $76,555—its lowest price since November 2024—putting downward pressure on Metaplanet’s portfolio. Nonetheless, the market has seen a slight recovery since.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $84,414. According to BeInCrypto data, this reflected a 1.54% decline over the past 24 hours. This offers a narrow margin of safety for Metaplanet’s holdings but underlines the ongoing volatility of the cryptocurrency market.
Amid global financial volatility, Bitcoin is emerging as a business strategic asset. A report by Bitcoin investment firm River shows a significant increase in companies’ Bitcoin accumulation, with adoption rising 154% from 2024 to the present.
This article analyzes the growth, the reasons behind this trend, and the latest insights from experts and companies.
Growth in Bitcoin Accumulation Among Businesses
According to River’s statistics, over 2,000 companies are using the platform to accumulate Bitcoin, an impressive 154% growth since 2024.
Leading industries include finance and investment (35.7%), technology (16.8%), professional & consulting services (16.5%), real estate and construction (9.7%), and sectors like healthcare (3.7%) and energy, agriculture, and transportation (3.1%).

This diversity shows that Bitcoin is no longer limited to high-tech sectors. It has expanded into a wide range of industries. One notable example is BlueCotton, a T-shirt printing company that uses Bitcoin to support its operations. Fast food chain Steak ‘n Shake also began accepting Bitcoin payments at all US locations on May 16, 2025.
Reports also indicate that businesses have become the leading buyers of Bitcoin, outpacing governments and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Why Are Businesses Allocating Assets to Bitcoin?
Businesses accumulate Bitcoin primarily because it can hedge against inflation and preserve value.
Cash has significantly lost value as inflation rises and governments continue to print money. River calculated that a company investing 3% of its assets in Bitcoin earned a 20% inflation-adjusted return between 2021 and 2025. In contrast, holding only cash led to a 19% loss, while money market funds saw a 6.7% loss.

“Bitcoin provides a unique diversification as a liquid, scarce asset with a fixed supply of 21 million coins. This scarcity has historically allowed Bitcoin to far outperform inflation, making it an effective long-term store of value,” River’s report states.
Bitcoin also offers 24/7 liquidity, giving businesses access to capital anytime. This proved especially valuable during crises, such as the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank in 2023, when many companies couldn’t withdraw their cash.
According to data from BitcoinTreasuries, private and public companies have accumulated over 1 million BTC as of 2025. Standard Chartered predicts that the accumulation activity by companies, governments, and ETFs could drive Bitcoin to $120,000 in Q2 2025.

Standard Chartered says XRP Set to Outperform, Could Overtake Ethereum by 2028
As global trade tensions intensify, Standard Chartered sees a silver lining for crypto investors, urging them to focus on long-term winners poised to benefit from the disruption.
“Tariff noise creates the opportunity to look for long-term value/pick winners in Digital Assets for the next leg higher. Today we add XRP to that list of winners (BTC and AVAX other identified winners, ETH identified loser). XRP’s core use is as a cross-border and cross-currency payments platform. That part of Digital Assets is undergoing a shift higher in volumes, something we see continuing. By the end of 2028 we see XRP’s market cap overtaking Ethereum’s. That will make XRP the second largest (non-stablecoin) Digital Asset at that time. Keep looking for winners and HODLing those you already own”, Geoff Kendrick, Standard Chartered’s Head of Digital Asset Research, in an email to BeInCrypto.
Kendrick also pointed to Bitcoin’s resilience as a signal of what’s to come for the broader crypto market.
“Tariff mess will be over soon, and Bitcoin’s solid performance during the noise tells us a leg higher for the asset class will follow” he said.
He also points out important points about the recent performance of XRP:
“XRP price rose 6x in the two months following Trump’s election victory, the strongest performance among the top 15 digital assets by market cap. This reflected market expectations that the SEC would drop its appeal of a court ruling concerning Ripple, as well as the potential for XRP ETFs to be approved under new SEC leadership.”
But Kendrick believes the fundamentals — not just politics — are driving XRP’s momentum.
“We think these gains are sustainable, not just because of recent leadership changes at the SEC but also because XRP is uniquely positioned at the heart of one of the fastest-growing uses for digital assets – facilitation of cross-border and cross-currency payments. In this way, XRPL is similar to the main use case for stablecoins such as Tether: blockchain-enabled financial transactions that have traditionally been done through traditional financial (TradFi) institutions. This stablecoin use has grown 50% annually over the past two years, and we expect stablecoin transactions to increase 10x over the next four years. We think this bodes well for XRPL’s throughput growth, given the similar use cases for stablecoins and XRPL.”
Tether’s Big Play: Institutional-Grade Stablecoin Targets US Market
Charles Wayn, co-founder of decentralized Web3 super-app Galxe, told BeInCrypto that:
“The news that Tether is planning to launch an institutional-grade stablecoin for the US market is fantastic for the crypto industry. Tether pioneered stablecoins with its first launch over a decade ago in 2014, and its flagship product — USDT — is now the third largest cryptocurrency in the world. Unlike its rival, USDC, USDT has never been formally audited, leading to frequent questions over its balance sheet. Nonetheless, it remains the industry’s favored stablecoin, shown by its market cap of over $144 billion, which is well over double the size of USDC’s $60 billion.”
Wayn believes this move, along with Tether’s push for transparency, positions the company as a future leader in institutional crypto adoption.
“As such, this move, combined with other recent news that Tether is seeking a full audit from a Big Four accounting firm, shows that the company is not only willing to be compliant but also be a leader in institutional adoption. While USDT sadly did not pass the EU’s directive on stablecoins under MiCA, this new product will likely be designed to pass new legislation coming from the US.”
He adds that institutional momentum — fueled by players like BlackRock — reinforces why now is a pivotal moment for stablecoins and broader market stability.
“As such, there is little doubt that USDT will work hard to launch its new product in good time. As we see huge institutions like BlackRock further entering the market with another $66 million purchase of Bitcoin last week, along with the rapid growth of its RWA BUIDL fund, institutional adoption is now taking off rapidly.”
