Altcoins may have just hit rock bottom — and that might be great news for crypto traders. According to popular analyst Michael van de Poppe, market signals are now pointing to a turnaround.
While some analysts warn that Bitcoin’s growing dominance is delaying the altcoin season. Could things be finally shifting in favor of altcoins?
Let’s break it all down.
Gold Drops, Altcoins Ready to Rise?
Van de Poppe points out that traditional markets, especially gold, are weakening. Gold has failed to break above $3,365 and is now trending lower. Poppe says this downtrend could be a good sign for riskier assets like altcoins, especially if economic data turns worse and rate cuts are announced.
The week on #Gold has closed significantly lower as it starts to have a downtrend.
That’s great, as that’s opening up the doors for potential #Altcoin party.

Meanwhile, further fed rate cuts would mean more liquidity in the market — often good news for altcoins.
Van de Poppe also shared another chart showing the OTHERS/BTC ratio (which tracks altcoins vs. Bitcoin) forming a strong base. He believes we’re in the final phase of a bottoming process, supported by bullish divergence on the charts.
This pattern has marked previous cycle lows — and each time, altcoins staged a strong comeback shortly after.
Bitcoin Dominance Slowing Altcoin Progress
On the flip side, crypto analyst Tony Severino suggests that Bitcoin’s dominance in the crypto market recently touched 65.66%. That’s a strong signal that Bitcoin is still leading the pack, especially with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) reading around 60 on major timeframes.
Severino warns that as long as these conditions hold, altcoins will likely remain stuck.
Looking at the altcoin season index, it currently stands at 22, suggesting bitcoin is dominating the market.
The start to President Trump’s second term in the US has been quite rocky to the crypto sector. Although Bitcoin soared to its highs of $109K in the initial days, the crypto sector also witnessed lows close to $70K levels due to the fears driven by Trump Tariffs and global market volatility.
Even though there has been momentum in crypto regulation and stronger ties with the sector, the economic uncertainty due to the global trade war has led to instability in the markets.
Nevertheless, Trump had solid support from crypto heavyweights as recent documents from the Federal Election Commission (FEC) reveals that several major digital asset firms donated millions to Trump’s inauguration fund. As per records, Crypto firms and executives poured in about $18 million into the fund.
According to the filings, Solana Labs donated $1 million USD to back the current administration. There were other contributions from Uniswap’s CEO Hayden Adams ($245,000) and Consensys ($100,000) too. But who led the pack? It was Ripple Labs who has been the biggest donor so far which contributed about $5 million ($7.8 million AUD). Pilgrim’s Pride Corp, a U.S.-based poultry producer, was the only company which donated more.
Between Trump’s victory and the release of the report on April 20, his political party attracted around $239 million USD (AU $372 million) in donations. Several major crypto firms including Coinbase, Ripple Labs, Kraken, Ondo Finance, and Robinhood made seven figure donations. Meta, PayPal, FedEx, Open AI’s Sam Altman, Nvidia and Apple, were also among the top contributors.
As the Trump administration has taken a pro-crypto stance, the SEC has dropped major lawsuits, giving relief to big players like Coinbase, OpenSea, and Ripple.
Trump had announced that his executive order on digital assets will create a new U.S. strategic cryptocurrency reserve which is expected to include Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, and Cardano.
XRP Fails To Rally
XRP saw impressive gains after CEO Brad Garlinghouse and CLO Stuart Alderoty met Trump. However, XRP has failed to rally despite the latest developments. It is currently trading at $2.10, down 0.9% in the past day and over 3% in the past week.

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, former CEO of Binance, asked a Delaware bankruptcy court to dismiss FTX’s lawsuit against him. He claimed, among other reasons, that it has no jurisdiction, as CZ is not a US or Delaware resident.
FTX is attempting to recover $1.76 billion from Binance, which was transferred between the two firms under ambiguous circumstances.
According to a recent report, CZ just filed to ask if a Delaware bankruptcy court could dismiss FTX’s lawsuit, which is attempting to recoup $1.76 billion that Sam Bankman-Fried sent to Binance:
“The claims are so far removed from Delaware, and even the United States, that the statutes at issue, which lack extraterritorial application, do not even apply,” CZ claimed. Specifically, this argument insists that CZ’s residence in the UAE makes Delaware an improper venue to litigate this suit.
CZ further claimed that foreign transfers aren’t covered by US bankruptcy law. He described himself as a “nominal counterparty” in the alleged transaction, which took place over three distinct jurisdictions other than the United States.
A Look at the Facts
Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, former CEO of Binance, has had a troubled history with FTX over the years. In 2023, FTX sued him on the grounds that his social media posts damaged the firm’s reputation.
In 2022, Binance was called as a witness against FTX in a British court. At the time, CZ was still in charge.
Indeed, Sam Bankman-Fried has persistently blamed CZ for the liquidity crisis that shuttered FTX.
Last year, the firm filed this clawback lawsuit, alleging that Bankman-Fried improperly transferred $1.76 billion to Binance. Since then, the suit hasn’t made a ton of progress.
CZ’s filing claims that FTX was “briefly business partners” with Binance, and that FTX “nonsensically blames” Binance and its employees for its own malfeasance.
It’s unclear how well this argument will work, but two other former Binance executives also asked the court to be dismissed from this suit. For now, it looks like a waiting game.
Ethereum (ETH) has had a rough ride recently, plunging 28% last month and falling below $2,000 in the recent crypto market crash.. investors wondering whether ETH can stage a comeback as it currently trades at $1,874.97, some critical indicators suggest a rebound could be on the horizon. From whale accumulation to technical signals and rising market interest, Ethereum price may be gearing up for a major rally. At the same time, a new coin – Rexas Finance (RXS), a promising Ethereum-based token, is gaining traction. With a record-breaking presale and growing investor confidence, RXS is currently priced at $0.20, with its launch price set at $0.25 on June 19, 2025. Both ETH and RXS are positioning themselves as top contenders for the biggest crypto gains in 2025. Let’s dive into why.
3 Reasons Ethereum Price Could Rally Soon
The following are reasons why ETH price is poised to surge soon.
Whales Are Accumulating Ethereum
Recently, Ethereum whales have been aggressively buying the ETH price dips while adding a total of 1.1 million coins within just 48 hours. This signals a potential rebound, due to increased confident in the leading altcoin. History records that, whenever whales accumulate during price declines, it often results into price recovery in the days that follow.
As institutional investors look for cheaper entry opportunities, the current Ethereum price of $1,874.97 may be seen as undervalued, setting the stage for a significant rally.

Ethereum Price RSI Suggests a Bullish Reversal
Ethereum’s RSI is currently about 22, much below the 30 mark. This implies that ETH is oversold, so selling pressure has been too high, and a reversal could be about to happen. For traders trying to profit from a possible bounce, an RSI falling to such low levels usually indicates a strong buying possibility.
Historically, Ethereum’s RSI falling below 30 has typically signaled a major price comeback. For instance, past cases of ETH exceeding sell conditions have resulted in a price recovery of 20% or more in the following weeks. Ethereum is presently in a similar state; hence, a relief rally might be imminent as buyers retreat to benefit from the lowered prices.
Rising Social Dominance and Trading Volume
Technical analysis isn’t the only factor backing Ethereum’s comeback potential. Its growing market presence adds weight to this possibility. Santiment, an on-chain analytics company, reports that ETH now makes up 9.2% of all crypto talks.
This boost in attention shows that traders, analysts, and investors are keeping a close eye on Ethereum. More discussion and interest often come before price changes, as this buzz tends to draw in new buyers.
Also, Ethereum stays one of the most traded assets on platforms like Coinbase, which points to steady demand even during the market slump.
Rexas Finance (RXS): The Rising Star Poised for Explosive Growth
As Ethereum price prepares for a possible recovery, another asset is causing a stir in the cryptocurrency market—Rexas Finance (RXS). As a token on the Ethereum network aimed at tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), RXS is rapidly gaining popularity in anticipation of its forthcoming exchange launch.
Now priced at $0.20 in its last presale phase, the RWA token has successfully raised an impressive $47.01 million, with 91.02% of this round already sold. RXS will debut at $0.25 on June 19, 2025, representing an important achievement for early investors who have experienced increases exceeding 500%.

Final Thoughts: ETH and RXS-A Perfect Pair for 2025?
As Ethereum price gets ready for a possible price upturn, the mood in the wider crypto market will get better. This could help promising projects like Rexas Finance (RXS). Analysts anticipates that Ethereum’s comeback might spark a strong rally in other coins, and RXS, with its solid foundations, could be a big winner. Big investors are buying up ETH technical signs are good, and market interest is growing. All these point to a bright future for ETH. RXS is riding the wave of Ethereum’s network success. Both these assets could end up as some of the top performers in 2025.
