Bitcoin price is closely correlated with many altcoins that closely follow the trend. These altcoins have been following the BTC price rally and experiencing a similar price action to the star token. Therefore, now that Bitcoin is believed to revive a strong ascending trend soon, these cryptos are expected to follow and probably rise and reach new highs.
The entire market triggered a massive breakout in Q4 2024, which pushed the BTC price to a new ATH close to $109K. This has also elevated the prices of the altcoins like Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin, Solana & Dogecoin. While Ethereum peaked above $4000, XRP above $3.3, Bitcoin almost reached $150, and Dogecoin $0.5. Meanwhile, the winner of the race was Solana, which managed to peak and form a new ATH above $295.
While almost the whole market faced a major rejection, followed by a pullback, these altcoins maintained the same ascending consolidation as Bitcoin. The prices of ETH, XRP, LTC, DOGE & SOL have been consolidating since the start of the month but under bullish influence. All of them are testing the resistance strongly and preparing for the next bullish move by the BTC. Once done, these altcoins are believed to trigger a 30% upswing.
While Bitcoin price is primed to rise back to $100K after securing the resistance at $95,000, Ethereum price is expected to surge above $2000. Besides, the XRP price is expected to surpass the crucial resistance at $2.6. Meanwhile, Solana’s price is expected to make it to $180, and Dogecoin’s price could surge above $0.2 and eventually reach $0.25. However, to do so, the Bitcoin price is required to close the weekly trade above $95,000 and secure the resistance at $96,800 before the end of the month.
March proved to be a challenging month for many altcoins, with several experiencing sharp corrections. However, as Q2 2025 approaches, some tokens are positioned to benefit from potential improvements in market conditions.
BeInCrypto has analyzed four altcoins that, while not on the verge, are closer than others to reaching new all-time highs.
Gate (GT)
GT is currently trading at $23.50, just 10% away from its all-time high of $25.96. To reach this level, the altcoin needs to breach and flip $23.94 into a support level. A successful break above this resistance could pave the way for further price gains.
Market conditions suggest that GT could experience a price increase in the coming days, provided investors refrain from selling at the sight of profits. If this occurs, GT could push past $25.96 and potentially form a new ATH.
However, $23.94 has acted as a strong resistance for the past two months. If GT fails to breach this level, it could fall back to $22.56 or even lower to $21.25. Such a drop would invalidate the bullish outlook and potentially extend the current downtrend.
BNB
BNB has made several attempts to reach its all-time high of $793 since December 2024 but has consistently failed to break the $741 resistance. Despite sharp declines, the altcoin has shown resilience, bouncing back each time, indicating some level of investor confidence and market interest in its future performance.
Currently, BNB is holding above the critical support block between $587 and $619, standing about 25% away from its ATH. If broader market conditions turn bullish, BNB could be poised to attempt a new ATH within the next month.
While BNB may face challenges at the $741 resistance level, strong support could push it through this barrier. However, if BNB fails to break $647 first, it could see a decline below the $619 support level. This would invalidate the bullish outlook and potentially extend the current downward trend.
MANTRA (OM)
OM’s price is currently trading at $6.58, still far from its all-time high of $9.17, requiring a 40% rise to reach that level. Despite this, the altcoin has significant potential to rally. A positive shift in market sentiment could drive it toward higher price levels.
Strong bullish momentum has fueled OM’s rise, with the altcoin reaching an ATH of $9.17 towards the end of February. The continued inflow into OM signals the possibility of another rally. If OM successfully breaches $7.02 and flips $7.74 into support, it would solidify the bullish outlook.
However, if OM fails to breach the $7.02 resistance, the altcoin could fall back to $6.17. This drop would likely continue its consolidation phase, as seen earlier this month, and invalidate the bullish thesis. A failure to break key resistance levels would limit price growth.
Cheems (CHEEMS)
CHEEMS, though a lesser-known coin, has been gaining bullish momentum this month. Earlier this week, the altcoin formed a new all-time high at $0.000002179. This recent price surge indicates growing investor interest and the potential for further gains if market conditions remain favorable.
For CHEEMS to form a new ATH beyond $0.000002200, it will need a 25% rally from its current price. The altcoin is likely to bounce off the $0.000001660 support level, which could help capitalize on the current bullish momentum. A sustained move above this level could signal further upside potential.
However, if CHEEMS fails to hold above the $0.000001660 support, it could face significant downward pressure. A drop below this level could result in CHEEMS falling to $0.000001461 or even as low as $0.000001132. Such a decline would invalidate the bullish outlook and may extend the downtrend.
The ongoing Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit may conclude without any changes to the $125 million judgment against Ripple, according to attorney Fred Rispoli.
The legal expert suggested that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) might be waiting for new leadership before making a final decision. This has led to discussions about whether Ripple could negotiate a reduced penalty or alternative settlement.
Ripple vs. SEC Lawsuit Could End with $125M Judgment
The US SEC, currently led by a 2-1 pro-crypto commission under acting Chair Mark Uyeda, has not dropped its case against Ripple, despite withdrawing other cryptocurrency-related lawsuits. Legal analysts Fred Rispoli in an X post believes the agency is waiting for new SEC Chair candidate Paul Atkins to take office before making further decisions on the case.
Fred Rispoli has argued that dropping the appeal while keeping the $125 million fine would save the SEC from further legal battles.
“The best satisfaction of this, if true, is that it nullifies the thousands of hours of work put in by SEC staff to get the $125M judgment,” Rispoli stated in a post on X.
The Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit remains one of the most complex legal battles in the cryptocurrency industry. While the SEC recently closed cases against Kraken, Coinbase, and ConsenSys, it has yet to take similar action against Ripple. Some legal experts believe the injunction on Ripple’s institutional sales of XRP may be a key factor in the delay.
Speculation Over XRP Payments and Strategic Reserves
There has been speculation that Ripple could settle the $125 million fine by transferring XRP instead of cash. Vincent Van Code, a market analyst, suggested that Ripple might be negotiating to pay the fine in XRP, which could then be allocated to a government-controlled cryptocurrency reserve.
According to Van Code, “Some are speculating that Ripple, rather than pay $125 million in dollars, provides the equivalent in XRP to the new crypto strategic reserve.” However, attorney Rispoli doubts that such an arrangement is likely, given the slow progress in legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, Ripple’s escrow holdings, which contain approximately 37.1 billion XRP, have been at the center of discussions regarding potential government acquisitions. Over the weekend, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that XRP would be part of the country’s digital asset reserve, fueling speculation that Ripple’s escrow could be involved in the legal negotiations.
XRP Sales Restrictions Remain a Key Issue
The Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit has focused on whether XRP should be classified as a security. In 2023, Judge Analisa Torres ruled that Ripple’s institutional sales of XRP were securities transactions, leading to the $125 million fine. Ripple has since been working to challenge the injunction that restricts certain sales of XRP to banks and payment processors.
According to legal experts, Ripple’s efforts to overturn the injunction could be a reason why the SEC has not yet dropped its case. Attorney Jeremy Hogan has suggested that Ripple may be engaging with the Second Circuit Court of Appeals to contest the ruling.
Meanwhile, Ripple Chief Technology Officer (CTO) David Schwartz has dismissed concerns about XRP inflation. Schwartz reaffirmed that XRP’s total supply cannot be increased under the XRP Ledger’s code.
“There is literally no function to create any more XRP. The code to do such a thing does not exist,” he stated.
As for the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit, it is currently under review at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. The SEC submitted its arguments to the court on January 15, 2025, and Ripple has until April 16 to file its response.
Dogecoin (DOGE) is currently experiencing a downward trend, aligning with the broader crypto market trend. Despite this prevailing bearish period, analysts and experts remain bullish about the meme coin’s potential uptrend. However, the Dogecoin price could plummet to $0.015, if it fails to challenge the significant support level.
Will Dogecoin Price Slip to $0.015?
According to Ali Martinez’s analysis, Dogecoin’s price has been following an ascending channel since 2014. Historically, DOGE has bounced back from the channel’s lower support trendline to the upper resistance trendline, only to drop back down.
However, DOGE has now reached a critical juncture. If it breaks below the $0.19 support level, it may trigger a sharp correction to $0.015.
This bearish prediction aligns with DOGE’s current performance. As of press time, DOGE is trading at $0.2029, with a dip of 2.87% over the last day. Despite a 7-day increase of 7.5%, Dogecoin plummeted by 23% over the past month.
Is a Rebound Possible?
Though analyst Ali Martinez cautions traders about a possible pullback, others remain optimistic about Dogecoin price. Solbert Invest predicts a potential big move for DOGE, with $0.17 being the possible bottom. His notable forecasts for Dogecoin price include $0.57 and $0.82. He wrote on X, “DOGE is testing macro support—if it holds and we bounce, these targets could be in play.”
The surge in optimism for Dogecoin’s price is fueled by increased activity among DOGE “whales.” Recently, DOGE whales have snapped up over 150 million tokens, hinting at a potential price surge.
Furthermore, analyst Crypto Patel has identified the current levels as a key accumulation zone for DOGE, suggesting that investors are buying up the cryptocurrency in anticipation of a bullish rally.
Dogecoin Price May Reach $2.5 and Beyond
In Crypto Patel’s analysis, Dogecoin price is poised to reach $2.5 triggered by this accumulation zone. The technical analysis chart presented by Crypto Patel showcases Dogecoin repeating historical patterns. As per the chart, $0.320, $0.585, $1.501, and $2.5 are Dogecoin’s critical levels ahead.
Meanwhile, another popular platform, Crypto Daily Trade Signals, forecasted the DOGE’s bullish trajectory to $5. They presented an average directional index (ADX) chart for DOGE, highlighting the meme coin’s historical patterns that suggest a potential rebound. According to Dogecoin price prediction, the meme coin has the potential to hit $2020430 by 2025.
